Jen Lochren-Loureiro
Owner/Colon Hydrotherapist
Jen Lochren-Loureiro, Owner of Healing Waters of Raleigh, is a child of God, wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. She is an I-ACT Certified Colon Hydrotherapist and Licensed Esthetician.
Jen’s passion for Colon Hydrotherapy began during a time when she was experiencing many life stresses which brought on many stomach issues. She had always struggled with anxiety, headaches, and gut related problems. After going to countless doctors with no solutions, Jen started to take her health into her own hands. She researched ways to combat this ongoing dilemma, and on her journey, she came across enemas and Colon Hydrotherapy.
Her personal positive experience with Colon Hydrotherapy, which alleviated multiple issues, led her to recognize the benefits of this therapy and the importance of maintaining a healthy digestive tract. It was evident that her diverse health problems had their origins in her gut and could effectively be addressed with colon cleansing. Knowing this information and seeing how Colon Hydrotherapy has changed her life, Jen knew that she wanted to get certified, so she can change others' lives as well!
Prior to training, Jen received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Business in 2003 and she earned a license in Esthetics in 2004. Jen is an empath who is caring, sensitive to people’s needs, and very passionate about her work. She is dedicated to helping others on their journey to optimum health and wellness.

Carrie
Colon Hydrotherapist
As an Advanced Practitioner of Homeopathic Medicine (APH) and an Integrative Health and Nutrition Coach, my passion lies in empowering others to achieve optimal health through holistic practices. Having spent years immersed in the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe, I developed a deep appreciation for the connection between nature and wellness.
For over 15 years, I have been professionally trained in colon hydrotherapy. I view it as a foundational practice in strengthening the brain-gut connection—an essential element for overall health. Digestive health is critical, as about 70% of the immune system resides in the gut. A healthy gut supports mood balance, weight management, and nutrient absorption. My approach combines education on chakra foods, integrative coaching for overcoming emotional hurdles, and personalized guidance on using food to restore balance and vitality.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy hiking, biking, and creating nutritious meals that fuel both body and soul. I believe in the power of self-care and encourage clients to develop habits that bring joy, energy, and lasting wellness. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey to better health.
Sanitation
Modern colon hyrdrotherapy equipment is manufactured through compliance with strict federal guidelines that dictate rigorous accountability. Disposable, single-use rectal tubes and/or speculae are highly recommended. I-ACT standards require the facility to be
immaculately clean.
I-ACT Mission Statement
The mission of the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) is to heighten the awareness of the colon hydrotherapy profession, ensure continuing and progressive education within the field, and implement professionalism beyond reproach.
Hippocrates claimed that chronic disease came from autointoxication, i.e. self poisoning due to constipation.

Colon Hydrotherapy
Today’s diet consists in great part of refined, processed foods, high in saturated fats and low in fiber. Eating these foods, overeating, ignoring the call the eliminate stress, allergies, medications, lack of exercise and environmental toxins can contribute to over-acidity in the body, sluggish, poor digestion, respiratory and skin problems and poor colon health.
The colon contains the largest concentration of bacteria in the body. Waste matter that stagnates alters the proportion of healthy vs. harmful bacteria disrupting the balance of the healthy microorganisms that are essential to the health of the colon and the body in general. Symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, IBS, gas and bloating, body odor, fatigue and bad breath may occur. Regular colonics help to keep your digestive system, kidneys and liver functioning properly which helps your body to cleanse and eliminate regularly on its own.
During a colon hydrotherapy (colonic) session, a narrow disposable speculum is partially inserted with a round-tipped applicator approximately 2-3 inches into the rectum. Filtered, temperature controlled water is introduced into the colon and released several times during a session. The Colon Hydrotherapist is always present; attentive to the client (who is covered at all times) and closely monitoring the temperature and pressure-sensitive flow of water. During an outflow, after introducing water into the colon, water and waste material travels from the disposable outflow tube through a glass viewing tube within the wall unit and ultimately into the drainage system. During an outflow, the abdomen is gently manipulated, encouraging an easier and more complete release. This cycle of filling and emptying is repeated several times during the session. Colonics can cleanse the entire colon using filtered water and without the use of drugs or chemicals. The device is a “closed system” which affords a comfortable procedure while maintaining the dignity of the patient. There is no open evacuation and no offensive odors. It is therapist assisted for effectiveness, comfort and most importantly, safety. The device comes equipped with a built-in water treatment system. This patented system will remove particulate matter, reduce the amount of chlorine and, with the use of Ultraviolet light, destroy 99.9% of bacteria and viruses that may be in the water.
